Belfast weather: Cold and cloudy throughout a mainly dry day

It will be a cold and cloudy start on Saturday morning but it is likely to stay dry throughout the day.

The Met Office forecast says there is a 10 per cent chance of rain throughout the day, so there could be patchy outbreaks in places and light winds.

The maximum temperature will be 9 degrees, but it is likely to feel one or two degrees colder than it really is.

There could also be fog in places in the morning, but this will disappear as the day goes on.

The sun will rise at 8.19am and set at 4.05pm.

The Met Office said: "A chilly start with some fog patches reluctant to clear.

"Some sunshine for a time but likely to cloud over from the south with perhaps some patchy rain. Light winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C."

This weather looks set to continue throughout the weekend, with Sunday also set to be a bit chilly and cloudy, but dry.

A Met Office spokesperson added: "Mainly dry on Sunday with bright intervals. Breezy with some rain for a time on Monday then dry and cold later. Dry and bright on Tuesday."
