Belfast weather: A wet and rainy morning drying up later in the day

It is set to be a wet morning across Belfast today but this will hopefully dry up as the day goes on.

The Met Office forecasters have said there will be outbreaks of rain and drizzle until the early afternoon today, with the weather eventually drying up in the evening.

It is due to be cloudy all day with a mild breeze and a maximum temperature of 11 degrees, although it will feel about two degrees colder.

The sun will rise at 8.23am and set at 4.02pm.

The Met Office said: "Outbreaks of mainly rain and drizzle in the morning and early afternoon. Becoming drier later though staying mostly cloudy, perhaps brightening along the north coast. Mild, breezy at first, colder later, winds easing."

The forecasters prediction for the weather tonight is: "Cloud will break up this evening with some good clear spells developing and becoming quite cold. Cloud then thickening up from the west overnight."

Tuesday is set to be a cloudy, but drier day with the odd patch of rain.

The Met Office said: "It will be a cloudy day, though apart from the odd patch of drizzle it will be dry. The cloud will be low enough at times to bring hill fog."
