Belfast Trust worker's appeal after bike stolen from apartment

A Belfast man has appealed for the return of his bike after it was stolen from his mum's apartment.

Robbie Curley, 29, has worked across the Belfast Trust for 11 years, now working in Musgrave Park Hospital.

The Whiterock man cycles to and from work each day and has been left devastated after his bike, which he is still paying for, was taken in the early hours of Saturday.

Speaking to Belfast Live, Robbie's mum Toni said: "He has worked in Musgrave Park Hospital for the last three years.

"Robbie lives in Whiterock and cycles to and from work every day. He went to work on Friday, on the bike, and came to mine after. I live on the Glen Road and he had chained it to the banisters.

"On Saturday morning I went out and noticed the bike was gone and the banister was cut.

"He is gutted because he is still paying for the bike - he had taken it out through a scheme with work, so he hasn't finished paying for it.

"We just want the bike back. If it's been sold, we will buy it back. He really relies on this bike."

Belfast Live contacted the PSNI for a comment.
