Belfast traffic: Diversions in place as Tour of the North parade to take place

Diversions will be in place in part of Belfast on Friday evening as an annual parade takes place.

A number of diversions will be in place in the North Belfast area on Friday, June 10 due to the Tour of the North parade.

The outward march begins at 7.30pm on Denmark Street, between the Shankill Road and Carlisle Circus.

It then proceeds north before returning at 9.30pm via Donegall Street.

The Westlink will remain open during this period and access to the Mater Hospital will be available throughout.

Road users are advised to expect delays on Friday evening in the Carlisle Circus/Clifton Street/Donegall Street areas.

In a statement, Police North Belfast said: "A number of diversions will be in place on Friday 10 June in the North Belfast area due to the annual Tour of the North parade.

"Road users are advised to expect delays in the Carlisle Circus/Clifton Street/Donegall Street areas between 7pm and 9pm.

"The Westlink will remain open, however some diversions will be in place at the off-slips at Clifton Street.

"Access to the Mater Hospital will be available throughout, but road users are advised to plan for delays."
