Belfast traffic delays expected as parades to take place across city

Drivers are being warned to expect delays across Belfast as a number of parades are set to take place.

The PSNI issued a warning to motorists on Saturday ahead of parades taking place in the city throughout the day, August 14.

Police said road users are "advised to expect delays in some parts of Belfast today due to a number of parades".

The times and locations of these parades are below:

  • In Dunmurry village, Glenburn and Milfort areas between 9.30-11am
  • From Royal Avenue into the Shankill area 1-3pm
  • In the Ormeau Rd/Annadale area between 12-1pm
  • From Donegall Pass into the Donegall Rd area between 12 and 2pm
  • In East Belfast, in the Newtownards Rd/Beersbridge Rd/ Willowfield / Templemore areas 12-1.30pm.

The PSNI added: "Road users are asked to plan their journeys in advance and take into account the potential for delays."
