Belfast has come out on top as one of the cheapest date night locations in the UK, beating spots such as Newcastle, Leeds and Birmingham.
Research conducted by beauty experts Cosmetify analysed data from Expatistan and Numbeo to find out the average cost of a date night for two people, based on the average costs of two cinema tickets, taxi fare for a five-mile journey, dinner at a restaurant for two, as well of the prices of a pint and a cocktail.
It revealed that the average price of a date night in Belfast is £61.55, making it the fourth cheapest spot in the UK for treating your other half.
The city had an average of the cheapest cinema tickets for two at £10.26, while the average price of a pint was steeper than some other locations at £4.46.
When it came to the price of a taxi for a five-mile journey, an average of £11.83 was recorded in Belfast while punters here can expect to pay around £27 for a meal for two.
The three cheapest locations in the UK for a date night are Kingston upon Hull, Cardiff, and Stoke-on-Trent, while London came out in the top position with date nights costing a whopping £103.97.

Commenting on the findings a spokesperson for Cosmetify said: “After spending so long being unable to enjoy a night out with a partner, people can finally have a date night again.
"Couples in Kingston upon Hull can enjoy the fact that they are getting good value for money compared to the rest of the UK. Meanwhile Londoners might face more awkward questions about splitting the bill, given how high the cost of a date is in the capital.”
