Belfast Pride Céilí will bring traditional music to the 10-day festival

With more than 140 events lined up to run across Belfast Pride , it's going to be a fun-filled couple of weeks.

And on Wednesday July 31, the festival is bringing a touch of trad to proceedings with a fully-fledged Céilí in partnership with Belfast TradFest.

Dance fans will be accompanied by traditional tunes from Ciarán Kelly, former TG4 Young musician of the year Edel Fox and and Teresa Clarke, with dances called by Ronán Eastwood.

There will be some help for beginners before things really get going so people with every level of expertise - and none - are welcome.

Tickets for the event at the Oh Yeah Music Centre on Belfast's Gordon St are £8 or £5 online.

For anyone going to see A Queer Céilí at the Marty Forsythe on the same evening, there’s transport from the play to the Céilí and you get the concession ticket price, too.
