Scouts NI is joining up with Belfast Pride for the first time.
In a message online the organisation said: "All Adult Volunteers and Network members are invited to represent Scouts NI in our debut parade at Belfast Pride.
"LGBT Young People in Northern Ireland face significant challenges and sobering mental health statistics, so in the spirit of Scouting For All we will be joining this year's Pride parade to demonstrate our openness to all Young People regardless of their sexuality or gender identity.
"The cumulative small gestures of each participant walking in uniform at Belfast Pride 2019 will send a profoundly positive message to our Young People, that no matter who they are, we value them as a Scout."
Participation involves Adult Volunteers and Network members and while Pride and rainbow themed accessories are encouraged, they will be parading in full uniform.
