Belfast Pride 2019 - A look back at pictures from the 2018 parade

It is the most colourful parade to take over Belfast every year and last year's Pride was no different.

Thousands of people in the LGBTQ community and their supporters took to the streets for the parade, following floats through the city centre.

The parade was another chance for campaigners to highlight their call for Theresa May's Government to extend marriage rights to LGBT couples in Northern Ireland .

Today that seems more like a reality after MPs voted to extend same-sex marriage to Northern Ireland by October if there is no government in place here by then.

Last year, Patrick Corrigan, Northern Ireland director of Amnesty International, said the march is still very much a protest in Belfast.

Take a look through our gallery from last year - can you spot anyone you know? Have you thought about what you will wear for the celebrations this year?
