Belfast police probing six alleged attacks against young women make arrest

Police investigating alleged attacks against six women in Belfast on Monday have made an arrest.

Officers probing four alleged stabbing incidents and two alleged assaults against females aged 19-22 now have a 38-year-old man in custody.

They released images of a man they wanted to speak to earlier today.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives investigating a series of incidents during which a number of women were assaulted and stabbed in South Belfast on Monday night (12 October) have arrested a 38-year-old man this evening in Belfast.

"He has been taken to Musgrave Station for questioning."
