Belfast has been named in the top 10 cities in the UK.

It came in at number 8 in the annual Reader's Choice Awards by CN Traveller.

The awards have been described as the 'biggest and most influential' which aim to 'shine a light on the best places around the world'.

The list reveals the 'urban destinations' that scored the highest on nightlife, restaurants and friendliness.

Our city is famously known for being the birthplace of the RMS Titanic and the home of Harland & Wolff.

Here is the top ten list, and the score each city received:

1. London. Score 89.68

2. Edinburgh. Score 89.49

3. Liverpool. Score 89.05

4. Glasgow. Score 86.67

5. Manchester. Score 86.50
