Gayle, Irish Regional Secretary of Public and Commercial Services Union, posted her appeal on Twitter.

She said: “Hello Belfast twitter. My 7yr old son lost his Minecraft Steve teddy at a bus stop in the city centre today. Have you found him? Please He looks likes this. Heartbroken child. Any help greatly appreciated.”

Gayle told Belfast Live she believes the teddy was lost in Belfast city centre between 2 and 3pm today(Sunday).

She added: “We think it went missing between my son’s eyesight test at Specsavers and getting the bus home up the Ormeau Road.”

The bus stop for the 7a/7b at Howard Street or possibly at the Centra on the corner of Howard Street and Great Victoria Street are possible spots where the teddy could have got lost.

In other missing teddy news, Gayle retweeted an appeal for help finding a bunny missing in the area around Lisburn’s Wallace Park.
