A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted hijacking in Belfast.
The suspect was detained in North Belfast on Thursday morning in relation to the incident that happened in the Henry Street area of Belfast, on September 15 2018.
During the early hours of that morning two 19-year-old men were in a car park on the Antrim Road in Glengormley when they were approached by two unknown males who asked for a lift to Belfast.
When they arrived in Henry Street the two males threatened the men and demanded the keys of the car before making off with their mobile phones.
The 43-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of attempted hijacking and robbery.
A 32-year-old male arrested in April in connection with the incident remains on police bail.
Detective Sergeant Eric Fairfield said: “The suspect was arrested in north Belfast early this morning in connection with an attempted hijacking in the Henry Street area of Belfast during the early hours of Saturday 15 September 2018. He remains in police custody at this time

“A 32-year-old male arrested in April in connection with the incident remains on police bail at this time.”
