Belfast is the 3rd cheapest UK night out, data reveals

Belfast ranks as one of the least expensive major cities in the UK for a night-out, according to new data compiled by Treated.com

The new findings come from a wide array of data relating to the overall cost of a night out in some of the UK’s biggest cities, taking into account the price of a pint, the price of going-out clothes, transport costs, and the price of that essential post-night-out feed.

The results showed that, unsurprisingly, London tops the list. They found that London was the most expensive city to buy a pint of beer (£5.60), and the most expensive city to buy a glass of white wine (£5.71). It also topped the list as the most expensive city for both taxis and Ubers.

London was also an expensive city to purchase a glass of red wine, second only to Edinburgh, costing £5.49 for 175ml. It was also the third most expensive city to purchase a large kebab, costing a whopping £7.33.

Alternatively, Sheffield was the most affordable city to purchase beer, costing a mere £3.36 per pint. Liverpool was second, costing £3.47 per pint, and Leicester a respectable third costing £3.36.

Cardiff was the most affordable city to purchase a 175ml glass of white wine, costing £4.13 per glass.

The cheapest city to purchase a kebab was Liverpool, costing only £4.46.

In Belfast , the average price for an imperial pint is £.4.48, the price of a glass of white wine is £5.16 and the price of a glass of red wine is £5.35 (making it the third most expensive in the UK for red wine).

Elsewhere in Belfast, the average price of a kebab is £5.46, while the average dress price is listed as £28.05.

An average four mile taxi journey in Belfast is £8.64, while an Uber journey is between £8-11.

In total, the average cost for a night out in Belfast is listed as £82.90, making it just two pound more expensive than the cheapest UK cities overall - which were Liverpool and Plymouth.

Treated.com's survey considered the following:
