Belfast fight investigated by PSNI

The PSNI is appealing for information after a fight in South Belfast on Monday evening.

Two men were reportedly involved in a brawl on the Ormeau Embankment after 7pm.

PSNI Detective Inspector Kerry Brennan said: “We received a report that at around 7.20pm that two males were involved in a fight in the Ormeau Embankment area.

One male was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone who has information that could assist police with their enquiries to contact detectives in Musgrave on 101, quoting reference number CCS 2226 05/08/19.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
