Belfast easyJet flight met by police over 'disruptive behaviour' of passenger

A Belfast-bound flight was met by police last night over a passenger's "disruptive behaviour".

The London Stansted to Belfast International easyJet plane was met by police on Sunday evening after a man was deemed to be "behaving disruptively".

It is understood the passenger had been vaping on board the flight.

A spokesman for easyJet said: "Police were called to meet this flight in Belfast due to a passenger onboard behaving disruptively.

"Our cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.

"Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously and do not tolerate disruptive behaviour onboard.

"The safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew is always easyJet's priority."
