The Donkey Sanctuary in Belfast is set to open its doors to the public for a free family fun day next month.
The free seasonal event at the centre in Templepatrick will give kids and adults the chance to get up close and personal with the adorable creatures.
A whole of fun activities both inside and outside will be available for all to enjoy on Saturday, September 7 with two sessions taking place on the day.
There will also be the opportunity to adopt the centre’s adoption donkeys Alfie and Benjy. Adopting a donkey is a great way to support the work of the The Donkey Sanctuary and enables the charity to continue reaching donkeys and mules in the UK and across the world.
Delicious refreshments will be available including homemade goodies and a barbeque. For some retail therapy, the Donkey World shop will also be stacked with all sorts of donkey-inspired items, which make a great souvenir of the day.
All proceeds help fund the work of The Donkey Sanctuary in the community and around the world.
Entry to the Spring Open Day is free with free parking but booking is essential. The day will be split in two – from 11am to 1pm and from 2pm to 4pm.
