A Belfast couple has shared photos of how they transformed their backgarden to look like Belfast's Sunflower Bar during lockdown.
Annie Swan and her husband Roy gave their backgarden a DIY make-over, turning this space into one of Belfast's much-loved and much-missed bars.
Their make-over involved them recreating the Sunflower entrance, as well as the iconic 'No topless sunbathing, Ulster has suffered enough' sign.
They also recreated the Sunflower's 'Boxing Hare Woodfired Pizzeria' section, and even made sure to add that dogs were welcome in the bar - showing real attention to detail!
Annie explained that the idea came about because she wanted to do something nice for her daughter during lockdown.
She told Belfast Live: "It was just after a long boring lockdown. We hadn't really been getting to see the kids, only a glimpse in the garden.
"So decided, as lockdown eased, that we'd have a birthday party for my daughter and her boyfriend. Sunflower is one of their favourite pubs and we love the Boxing Hare pizza they make.
"So we just decided to mock up the iconic sign - 'No topless bathing Ulster has suffered enough'. It's always made me smile! Then we added in the Sunflower entrance sign as well.
"I have a little shed set up as a sewing room out our garden, but one side is made into a bar - so we were able to serve up cocktails, all while keeping socially distant!
"Then for the pizzeria - Sunflower has Boxing Hare pizza, so we recreated that. But as my husband is affectionately called 'wee rat' we changed the name about and had the pizzeria out on the decking."
The transformed back garden got a massive response from Annie's friend.
On top of that, Sunflower even reached out to show their appreciation for the creativity.
Writing on Twitter, the pub owners said: "If you can't go to sunflower then make your own at home! We love this from one of our amazing customers!"
