A Belfast couple in their 80s arrived home to find their house had been burgled.
The pair live in the Ladybrook area of West Belfast and arrived home to the devastating scene on Thursday.
The back door had been kicked in and cash and jewellery was stolen.
A PSNI spokesman said: "This occurred some time between 2pm and 3.30pm.
"Any information would be greatly appreciated to locate the offender. Ref number 1133 20/2/20 refers."
