Belfast City Half Marathon sees 1,000 more runners sign up than last year

It's been a central part of the runners calendar for the past few years.

And this year, the 7th Belfast City Half Marathon will be bigger than ever.

With an extraordinary 5,300 runners signed up, the 2019 race has seen an increase of more than1,000 participants from last year - up around 25% from last year's 4,200 for Northern Ireland's biggest half marathon.

The run begins at 9am at Ormeau Embankment, and runners are asked to complete the 13.1 miles in less than three hours.

So get there in plenty of time - and good luck!
