Flights in and out of George Best Belfast City City Airport have been hit with a series of delays today.
A passenger whose flight from Belfast was delayed this morning said staff on the ground told them the cause was an air traffic control issue.
They said: "The early morning flight seemed to depart on time then everything stopped landing or taking off for over an hour."
The passenger said their flight was delayed by 90mins and that "when we boarded the crew said it was due to no air traffic control/ not enough in Belfast and all flights affected".
One Flybe flight to Cardiff appears to have been cancelled, while a number of others airlines have suffered delays.
People also took to social media to complain and ask what the problem is. Flybe responded directly to a number of its customers apologising for the delays.
The issue seems to be affecting flights right through to this afternoon.
A spokesperson for Belfast City Airport said: "Due to some very short term Air Traffic Control restrictions in place this morning, a small number of flights to and from Belfast City Airport experienced minor delays.
"No flights have been grounded and the airport remains fully operational."
