Belfast Christmas lights switch on event 2019- how to get tickets

Belfast will officially light up for Christmas this November as Lord Mayor John Finucane is joined by a host of special guests for the event at City Hall.

The big switch-on this year is taking place on Friday, November 16 at 6.30pm.

As with previous years the event is entry by ticket only but tickets are free.

The stage will come alive and you can sing along to well-known Christmas carols and enjoy an evening of musical fun and Christmas magic before the big countdown.

How to get tickets?

Tickets will be issued on a first come first basis and available online from  Monday 4 November at 9am from the Council website.

The award-winning will also make a return to the city.

It'll open its doors at 12 noon on Saturday 16 November with a unique offering of local and continental tasty food, sweet treats, wonderful gifts and crafts.

You won't need Belfast Christmas Lights Switch-on tickets to visit on Saturday but a one-way system will operate for visitors with entry via Donegall Square West and exit from Donegall Square East.
