Belfast Castle restaurant closes suddenly 'until further notice'

The Belfast Castle restaurant has closed at short notice while the council looks to get a new caterer.

On Sunday, December 11, The Tavern and Cellar Restaurant closed with "immediate effect" with a sign appearing on the door telling customers that it would not be open.

Belfast City Council has said that the restaurant has had to "close prematurely" and that affected customers were being contacted.
