Police investigating an alleged attack against a Belfast busker at the weekend claim they have identified the woman in the video.
John Garrity said he was standing at his usual spot on Royal Avenue singing Grace when a woman verbally abused him before breaking his equipment and kicking over his collection bucket.
He told Belfast Live following the incident: "I am disgusted that it has happened. I have been here for a year now and have never had any trouble but this past week Belfast has been like a different city.
"I sing about what people relate to and she took offence to the song. Bitter people conceive it as a Republican song but that isn't the case, it's a love song - Rod Stewart covered it and it went huge for him."
The 28-year-old Trillick, Co Tyrone man said it won't put him off performing.
Police issued an appeal for information following the incident.
Today they thanked everyone who got in touch through social media.
A spokesperson said: "Thank you to everyone who contacted us via our Facebook and other means in regard to the report of a busker being abused and their equipment damaged in Belfast City Centre over the weekend. The female involved has been identified and our investigation is ongoing."
A PSNI spokesperson later added: "Police investigating instances of buskers being verbally abused and having their musical equipment damaged on Saturday afternoon (6 July) in Belfast City Centre, have arrested a 44-year-old woman who is currently helping with enquiries."
