Belfast bin collections to change over Easter holidays

We've seen a rise in our rubbish over the last year with more of us working from home due to the pandemic.

And with Easter fast approaching, our blue bins will soon be overflowing with empty chocolate boxes and wrappers.

Belfast City Council has advised that some of their usual collection dates will be different next week.

All bin and box collections due on Easter Monday have been moved to Easter Saturday.

There will be normal collections on Good Friday and Easter Tuesday.

All recycling centres will be closed on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

Sites are open as normal on Good Friday, the Council has confirmed.

Recycling centre summer opening hours:

Monday 9am-5.30pm

Tuesday 9am-5.30pm

Wednesday 9am-8pm

Thursday 9am-5.30pm

Friday 9am-5.30pm

Saturday 9am-5pm

Sunday 12 noon-5.30pm

Last entry is 15 minutes before closing time.
