Belfast alleyway attack sees youths assault 9-year-old boy

A nine-year-old boy sustained injuries to his face after being assaulted in an alleyway in North Belfast.

The child was reportedly attacked by a number of other youths in the Highburn Gardens area on Thursday 10 October at around 5pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A Tennent Street officer said: "Were you in the Highburn Gardens area of North Belfast on Thursday 10th October at around 5pm?

"Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to an assault which saw a 9-year-old assaulted by a number of other youths in an alleyway.

"Can you help us and the victim? Can you identify the suspects? If you have any information - you can reach us by calling 101 and quoting the incident number of 1469 10/10/19."
