One of the pressing foreign policy issues facing the EU today involves one of its direct neighbours: Belarus. Belarusians are still protesting the disputed re-election of Alexander Lukashenko back in August – and reports of human rights violations by Belarusian authorities continue too. Major opposition figures are calling on the EU for action: but beyond sanctions, exactly what action should the bloc take, and what could the consequences be? We debate this with two MEPs.
