An exhibition of works by nine contemporary artists from the Northern Territory’s Tiwi Islands, just 80 km north of Darwin, will be on show at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.
Co-curated by the gallery’s Natasha Bullock and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander program curator Keith Munro, Being Tiwi showcases the expressive and experimental works that are being made on the island. The artworks span print media and painting, and each display a different side of Tiwi culture.
