Public buildings in Livingston will open their doors to everyone in November and early December as part of a series of events to mark the town’s 60th anniversary.
The free guided tours and open-doors opportunities will provide behind-the-scenes access and insight into the people, places, organisations, activities and operations, which make the new town tick.
The tour includes Livingston secondary schools, the award winning West Lothian Civic Centre and the Wee Museum of Memory. Booking is required for each.
The North Livingston Partnership Centre is also opening its doors and has a day of activities planned on Saturday November 19.
No booking is required for this event. There will be a display of historical photos from the Livingston archives, Livingston 60 film show, building tours and book bug sessions. The cafe will also be open for refreshments.
All details, including booking information, is available on the council’s website: https://news.westlothian.gov.uk/doorsopen
