A 'prominent' Stoke-on-Trent insolvency practitioners has been acquired by corporate recovery and professional services business Begbies Traynor.
Tunstall-based Dunion & Co, which was established in 2008, has been taken over by the nationwide firm, which has a network of more than 70 offices across the UK.
The deal will see Dunion & Co - which provides the full range of corporate recovery services to businesses across Staffordshire, Cheshire and beyond - remain in its existing premises under the Begbies Traynor brand, and continue to be headed up by founder Diane Dunion.

Begbies Traynor - which also has offices in Coventry and Birmingham - was founded in 1989 as a business recovery specialist.
Today the company forms part of the Begbies Traynor Group plc, an AIM-listed professional services consultancy delivering solutions for businesses, financial institutions and professional advisers in areas including corporate recovery, restructuring and turnaround, corporate finance, forensic accounting, investigations and security risk.
