Before and after photographs reveal extent of recent flooding in Keynsham

Photographs have revealed the scale of flooding in Keynsham, where it shut pubs and businesses in the aftermath of Storm Dennis.

The Lock Keeper pub's garden and car park was left submerged as downpours caused water levels to rise in the River Avon.

It was a similar situation down the road at Keynsham Rugby Club, with the car park and playing fields both left underwater on Monday (February 17).

However, pictures taken today (February 20) show the flood waters have mainly now cleared, leaving both sites almost unrecognisable from three days ago.

While the pub remained open as usual during the flooding, more miserable weather is set to batter the country this month.

With Britain still struggling in the aftermath of two back-to-back storms, more  weather  warnings for rain remain in place until Saturday.

The Met Office is forecasting heavy rain changing to cloudy conditions this Saturday (February 22) and more heavy downpours on Sunday (February 23).

You can view the before and after pictures of the flooding in Keynsham in the gallery above.
