Beer-holding Indians fan makes incredible barehanded catch, gives the baseball to a kid

It happens too often these days — a foul ball enters the stands, and an adult fan runs to the baseball and takes it away from a kid.

As far as fan etiquette goes, there’s not much the internet frowns upon more than adults taking baseballs away from children.

But this time, we have a positive story on the subject to share. An Indians fan did the right thing when he didn’t have to.

During the second inning of Tuesday’s game between the Tigers and Indians, Francisco Lindor lined a sharp foul ball into the stands down the right-field line. A fan, holding a beer, casually made a barehanded grab with the other hand. He took a bow, shared some high-fives and then gifted the baseball to a young fan in that section.

That’s how it’s done right there.

Sure, the fan would’ve had every right to keep the baseball after that phenomenal catch. But does he really need a baseball? By giving it to a kid, he gave the youngster a memorable experience.

That’s what it’s all about. Nicely done.
