A new venue has opened its doors inside the former Hannah's Bar site in Liverpool's city centre.
Beer hall, cocktail bar, diner and live events venue Metrocola has replaced Hannah’s Bar, which closed suddenly back in September.
Metrocola, which is the sister site of The Old School House on Lark Lane , primarily functions as a bar that specialises in draught beer, with 24 ales and casks on tap.

There’s also a smart cocktail menu featuring new inventions from the Metrocola bar team who can make any classic cocktail requested by customers.
On the food menu, which is served all day until 9.30pm, there is 'Detroit pizza' and 'smash burgers'. The bar will also be showing all the big football matches and sports events on TVs and projector screens around the venue.
Metrocola features four large rooms set over two floors, as well as a ‘greenhouse’ roof terrace. The glass box on the upper floor of the bar offers stunning views over the Bombed Out Church and Bold Street.
The feature room has a retractable roof allowing it to operate as a beer garden in the summer, and will host DJs for late night dancing.
The bar is the latest venue by Rob Gutmann, who brought the much loved Korova Bar to Liverpool in 2005.
Rob says he views Metrocola as part homage to his former venue. He said: “Korova is still fondly remembered, which is very gratifying, and whilst I think it should remain a memory I hope both the Korova generation and its successors will appreciate the lineage between the two places.
“Korova's gigs are now part of Liverpool's music scene heritage and its role as a vibrant social hub is something Metrocola will aim to honour.”
Metrocola is open seven days a week from 11am - 4am.
