Police hope a can of beer could be the key to catching a runaway driver.
Officers were called to a car crash on Sunday afternoon but the driver of the vehicle involved had fled the scene by the time they arrived.
Yet the traffic police team that attended found a "lager can" next to the driver's seat - which they hope will reveal the DNA of the person involved.

The air bag on the vehicle also deployed - creating another potential source of DNA that could help Merseyside Police track them down.
The force's roads policing unit shared details of the incident on Twitter just after 5pm yesterday, posting: "Patrols attended a report of a fail to stop RTC [road traffic collision] whereby the driver ran away.
"Unfortunately for said driver, their DNA will be all over the lager can next to the drivers seat and on the air bag that deployed so we will catch up with you as soon as the results are in."
