Becky Lynch makes history by winning the main event at WWE WrestleMania 35

Becky Lynch made history by winning the main event at WWE WrestleMania 35 on Sunday night.

The Irish wrestler from Baldoyle in Dublin won the first ever women's headliner against former UFC world champion Ronda Rousey and eight-time world champion Charlotte Flair.

82,5000 fans at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey saw Lynch, real name Rebecca Quinn, take the glory.

There was also another Irish winner on the night as Finn Balor, who trained Lynch in his Bray gym, won the Intercontinental title.

Rumours of a surprise appearance at the event from Conor McGregor did not materialise though with the UFC star having returned home after spending the past few months in the US.
