Becky Lynch dares herself to make UFC switch - and John Kavanagh thinks she has what it takes

Becky Lynch has hinted that she could switch to the UFC and have John Kavanagh as her coach.

The Irish WWE star and current Raw women's champ trained with Conor McGregor's coach earlier this year.

Afterwards, Kavanagh insisted he could have the Dubliner fighting at a high level in MMA within a year.

He said at the time: "If she were to say to me tomorrow, 'You know what, I want to give MMA a go,' give me a year and I'd have her fighting at a high level. No doubt.

"She has an engine and she's tough as hell. [In wrestling], you get smacked around and [there are] big hits.

"That's a big part of [MMA]. She has the mental and physical toughness to do it.

"We know she's not going to freeze under the big lights. She would do very well."

And Lynch also believes Kavanagh could coach her to a high level within the sport.

When asked if she would ever make the switch to MMA, she told ESPN at the ESPY Awards: “Damn right he can. I don’t quit and if it’s one thing I learned fighting Ronda Rousey is that I can take quite the beating.

“I always get back up again. Until I win the big one.”

She added: “Somebody tell me I can’t do it, I’ll do it, I’ll be there next week. Dana White, what’s up?”
