Beckham's 'planning elaborate Christmas christening' for their kids

David and Victoria Beckham have chosen the holiest time of year to finally christen their two youngest children - son Cruz and daughter Harper Seven.

The fame hungry family will be drafting in some high powered celebrities to take part in the celebrations this coming Christmas - and for them to vouch for 14-year-old Cruz and Harper Seven, aged eight.

The celebrations come after news that 45-year-old Vicky and 44-year-old Dave registered combined losses for the first time ever as their star power starts to wane.

Reports have suggested Hollywood director Guy Ritchie will be godfather to Cruz, while TV beauty Eva Longoria and Vicky’s sister Louise will be godmothers to Harper.

With a ceremony set to take at the height of the festive season, other guests expected to attend include Liv Tyler, Sir Elton John, and David Furnish - with the family hosting the stars and friends at their Cotswolds mansion.

According to The Sun on Sunday, the dress code is “full-length and fabulous” and parents David and Victoria are said to be beyond excited for the big day.

“They really enjoy family events like this and are very proud parents,” a source told the paper.

“They think Christmas is the perfect time for a christening party. Drinks will be flowing, chefs will serve amazing food and there will be spectacular fireworks,” the source continued.

A spokesperson for the family failed to comment on the reports of the planned christening.

Vicky and Dave have two other children from their 20-years-and-still-going-strong marriage - with eldest son Brooklyn now 20 and second son Romeo now 17.

The family are famously close - as seen in regular updates on social media showing them all together.

In recent days, the British family have shared photographs of themselves celebrating the American holiday of Thanksgiving.

While David sparked controversy (again) by sharing a photo of himself kissing daughter Harper on the lips during a visit to an ice rink.
