‘Because your son nonverbal’: Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s war goes to hell as they both attack each other’s kids

There’s been a long-standing feud between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj that just went completely off the rails as both rappers dragged each other’s children into the drama. What started as a typical X back-and-forth about album sales quickly escalated into a shocking series of low blows against their kids, leaving a lot of fans absolutely stunned.

The whole mess started on a Monday when Nicki Minaj decided to throw some major shade at Cardi B’s second studio album, Am I the Drama?, which had just dropped on September 19. Look, 200,000 units sold in the first week is definitely an impressive number by modern standards. However, in a now-deleted tweet, Nicki, with her history of feuding with Cardi, couldn’t help but mock the sales and overall quality of her rival’s work.

She reportedly tweeted the number $4.99, which most people took as a jab at the album’s price on iTunes, and then she started making fun of the lyrics to Cardi’s song Magnet. Cardi B initially seemed to laugh it off, tweeting a sarcastic remark, “Damn she was streaming Magnet hard as hell huh??”. But that’s when things took a seriously nasty turn. After deleting her earlier tweets, Nicki Minaj came back the next day and launched an attack on Cardi B’s daughter, Kulture.

Cardi B and Nicki break the one rule you shouldn’t break

In tweets that were screen-grabbed before being taken down, Nicki reportedly said, “Kulture vulture you ugly too,” and then followed up with, “Kulture u a roach & a monkey,” before adding, “Like your sister”. This, understandably, set Cardi B off, but sadly, she also went extremely low and attacked Nicki Minaj’s son.

Cardi wrote, “Your hate is so deep dark and nasty because your son nonverbal cuz you f***ed him up wit them drugs so you jealous of everybody kids and their happiness!!!”. The rumor about Nicki’s son, whom she calls Papa Bear, being nonverbal or neurodivergent is just a rumor, but regardless of its truth, attacking a child like that is a serious low blow from both sides.

Rappers beefing is nothing new, but even for this genre, most people agree that the children are supposed to be off-limits, and the general consensus online is that both women completely crossed a serious line. Fans watching the drama unfold yesterday were in shock. Many are calling for the two to just “throw hands” and end the feud already.

Some people were quick to point out that Nicki Minaj definitely started this particular line of attack, which gives Cardi a “legitimate reason” to be furious. As Masin Elijè put it, “Now Cardi B got a LEGITIMATE reason to not like Nicki Minaj. You spoke on her son and she said F*** YA KIDS. Now Goodnight”.
