Bebington has registered more Covid-19 infections than any other part of Wirral in the latest weekly figures.
In the seven days up to November 6, the South Wirral town recorded 46 coronavirus cases, while Bromborough saw 43 cases and 39 infections were recorded in the ward of Moreton West and Saughall Massie.
Infections were down in most wards in the borough.
15 of Wirral’s 22 wards saw a reduction in their weekly case numbers, while just four saw an increase, with three registering no change.
These promising numbers were reflected in the infection rate for the borough as a whole.
In the same seven day period, Wirral’s rate fell from 246 to 210 compared to the previous week’s figures.

The borough has the lowest infection rate in the Liverpool City Region, although it is still far higher than the rate of five per 100,000 recorded in Wirral on July 31.
Significant reductions in case numbers were recorded in other parts of the region also, with Liverpool’s infection rate down from 359 to 264 and Knowsley’s falling from 404 to 313.
St Helens now has the highest infection rate in the region, despite the fact that it is falling. The borough’s rate is now 340, down from 404 in last week’s numbers.
Over the last week, mass testing has been rolled out in Liverpool. More than 44,000 tests of asymptomatic people have been carried out, with 249 testing positive.
Those people, who did not have symptoms and who otherwise would have been unlikely to get tested, will be told to self-isolate along with any close contacts.
Large-scale testing will now be rolled out in over 50 local authority areas across the country, with all parts of the Liverpool City Region, including Wirral, to benefit from 10,000 tests for asymptomatic people.
The sites which will be used for these tests have not yet been confirmed.
