Bebe Rexha's fear when parents fell 'very ill' with Covid - but refused to break lockdown

Bebe Rexha revealed that she was 'nervous' after discovering that both of her parents had been infected with Covid-19.

The US-based musician, 30, has already lost one friend because of the deadly virus and was concerned when both of her parents fell ill.

Opening up about the difficult time, the Meant To Be songstress explained that she even considered driving from California to New York in order to be with them.

Bebe - real name is Bleta Rexha - told Extra TV that her mum and dad were finally able to taste again and are now making a recovery.

"They got sick... and were very ill for three weeks, and I got very nervous," she said during the show.

“I was thinking of doing the whole drive... to take care of them... They were so adamant about not having my brother and I there, but finally they got better. Finally they can taste food again. I’m really grateful,” Bebe added.

On a lighter note in her conversation, the star also spoke about her lockdown routine as she tried to remain 'positive' and 'stay creative'.

“I’ve been testing new recipes, cooking a lot, and being super positive and doing things that feel good for my soul, [trying] to stay creative…

She added: "At one point, I was really bored. Now I get to do this, so I feel so much better.”

It was early on during the pandemic that Bebe shared a heartfelt post after losing her friend to the deadly virus.

At the time, the songstress was inundated with messages from fans as she urged people to take the threat very seriously.

"STAY INSIDE YOUR F**KIN HOUSE AND DO YOUR CIVIC DUTY. PLEASE," she shared in March.

Across the United States, governors have began to ease the lockdown restrictions despite the country passing a grim milestone of 100,000 deaths in the last few days.
