Bebe Rexha 'normalises' weighing 165 pounds as she promotes body positivity

Bebe Rexha opened up about her weight as a way to encourage her followers to love themselves.

The 31-year-old singer took to TikTok to ask followers to guess how much she weighed as she danced to Nicki Minaj's "Good Form," in a lacy navy blue lingerie set from her underwear brand Adore Me, which prides itself on its huge sizing range.

As she struts in front of the camera, she asked her fans: "How much do you think I weigh?"

In another caption, she adds: "No one's business. Cause I'm a bad b---- no matter what my weight."

"But let's normalize 165 lbs," a caption says in the closing moments of the video, which she captioned simply, "Feeling like a bad b**** today."

Since being posted, the video has amassed 10.5 million views and one million likes.

Fans applauded her empowering message in the comments, as one person said: "SLAY........ SLAAAAAAAY."

Another commented: "YOU'RE FREAKIN GORGEOUS."

A third said: "This is it, this is my dream body."

"The [fact] that we need to normalise something like this makes me sad," wrote another fan.

And someone else put: "So I'm the same weight as you... okay, I think I can feel better about myself."

Bebe regularly talks of the importance of body positivity, as in November she posted an unfiltered swimsuit picture to her Instagram story.

"I wanted to show you what I really look like. Yes, I got thighs. Yes, I got ass. But here's what I f***ing look like in my bathing suit," Rexha said.

"Here's my body. No filters, okay? I got ass, I got thighs, okay. Not those nasty-ass pictures they posted of me, what the f***?"

Bebe went on to talk of her struggles with seeing paparazzi pictures of herself.

"It's just really hard because I find it hard to love myself sometimes and like when you see yourself looking like s***, it's like, yes I got stretch marks. Let me show you," she said.

"I got stretch marks. I got cellulite, all of the above," she continued.

"I don't do surgery. I've never touched my body. Never done lipo[suction], never done any of that stuff," she said. "I'm trying to be healthy and respect what God gave me. And I like to eat and I also take medicine that makes it really hard for me to lose weight."
