
The company behind hi tech beauty devices said to have been used by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Serena Williams will be valued at between £280 million and £320 million when it floats on the London stock market.
More details of a rare London listing were revealed today ahead of an initial public offering for Beauty Tech Group first announced on 15 September.
The company, which also owns ZIIP Beauty and Tria Laser, sells products such as face masks, hair-growth stimulator helmets and hair-removal gadgets. They use LED, radio frequency, microcurrent and laser treatment.
The Manchester-headquartered group is run by co-founder and chief executive Laurence Newman
The price range has been set at 251 to 291 pence per share with up to 11,553,785 new shares issued to raise £29 million.
This will be used to pay down borrowings “to ensure a debt-free position at IPO with sufficient working capital.”
Up to 29.3 million existing shares will be sold by current shareholders raising as much as £85 million.
The first day of trading is expected in October.
The company said the listing will position it “for the next stage of its development, including further enhancing the group's profile and brand awareness, assisting in retaining and incentivising senior management and key employees and providing it with a platform for continued growth.”
The company’s directors and chief technology officer Andrew Showman have agreed to lock-up arrangements for12 months after the listing.
It was first founded in 2009 as CurrentBody.com by Newman and Showman.
Initially selling third-party at-home beauty devices, the group shifted in 2019 to exclusively selling its own-brand products under the three brands.
The Beauty Tech Group made underlying earnings of £22.9 million on revenue of £101.1 million in 2024, while sales rose 27 per cent to £55.2 million in the first half of 2025.
The US and Canada accounted for 37 per cent of sales last year, with the EU making up 23 per cent, the UK and Ireland 22 per cent, and Asia 14 per cent. The firm’s products are now available in more than 90 countries .
