'Beautiful' young mum found dead in River Mersey named locally

A young mum who died after being pulled out of the River Mersey was described in tributes as a "beautiful, young mum".

The woman, in her 30s, has been named locally in tributes as Jenny.

She was pulled from water at the Pier Head by emergency services at around 6.10am on Friday, November 26, but sadly died in hospital.

Merseyside Police said the woman has been formally identified and her next of kin have been informed.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and it has been passed on to Liverpool Coroner’s Office.

Hundreds of tributes were shared on social media to the young mum, who was described as a "funny, kind and caring person."

Kerinda Kerinda said: "RIP Jen, absolutely heartbroken hearing this news. You did not deserve this. Xxxx"

Carla Foster said: "So sad RIP Jenny."

Amy Leather said: "Rest in paradise Jenny, I feel so sad to hear of this you were such a beautiful, caring woman, thinking of your boy and family."

Margaret Ingram said: "So sad RIP Jen thinking of her little boy and family."

Cat Sheeran said: "RIP Jenny, fly high girl, you were such a funny, kind and caring person. Thinking of all the family and her little boy."

Kirsty Evans said: "Rest in peace Jenny cannot believe this."
