A woman thanked the "beautiful" people of Southport for making her mum's first outing in more than a year "amazing".
Sarah Glover, from Leyland, says she was finally able to take her 67-year-old mum out for the day for the first time since March 2020.
Her mum, Grace Ashcroft, lives at a care facility in Birkdale.

Sarah told the ECHO : "We didn't see mum at all for three months, then we could see her in the garden of her home but then we were restricted again when tiers came in because we are in Lancashire and she is in Merseyside.
"Mum is blind, but she always stays so positive."
On Sunday, Sarah and Grace visited Southport town centre - with Sarah wearing full PPE.
Sarah continued: "It felt amazing to walk out of the home's gates with mum. We went into Southport, I looked like a weirdo wearing full PPE in the heat! But it felt so lovely to be able to do normal things again.
"So many people went out of their way to offer to help, opened doors, courteous drivers let us cross roads. Such a different experience to pre-Covid."
Writing in a Southport Facebook group, she said: "I just wanted to say a humongous thank you to the people of Southport today. You are so beautiful.
"I don't know who you are, but thank you, you made our day amazing."
