The sun is shining and summer is upon us, which can only mean one thing - it’s time to look for a beer garden.
Liverpool has no shortage of sun traps to sit and relax with an ice cold drink, but they’ll undoubtedly fill up quickly with the sun cracking the flags. So if you’re looking for somewhere lesser known, there’s a little gem on Berry Street that is well worth seeking out.
River North on Berry Street opened its door back in October 2021, replacing Wolf & Waffle. The neighbourhood pub and restaurant is the sister venue to Petit Cafe Du Coin, which is just down the road.

The restaurant recently refurbished its summer terrace in time for the warm weather, and it looks like the perfect place to catch some sun. The space features a range of wooden booths and long tables with benches where visitors can soak up the sun.
The outdoor space is decked out with foliage and planters, as well as hanging lights. The venue has been called “beautiful” and “exceptional” by a number of recent reviews on TripAdvisor. The restaurant also has a five star rating on the reviews site.
River North’s menu features a range of small plates, with a number of deals on offer too - including a choice of three dishes and a bottled beer or a glass of wine for £19.50. Cocktails, beers and wines are also on the menu.
