Beautiful little Scots sisters dance barefoot on icy ground for stunning Perthshire countryside shoot

Three young Scots dancers are braving the freezing temperatures to inspire others through the lockdown with a series of outdoor performances.

As these amazing photos show, the Bloice sisters, from Balgowan, Perthshire, are taking to the woods and fields near their home to practice their moves.

Proud mum, Susie, took the ethereal snaps and hopes they will inspire others to dance their way through the latest covid lockdown.

The 39-year-old former makeup artist sent the stunning pictures of her three ‘wonderful dancing daughters’ Ella, 6, Lily, 9, and Chloe, 11, to the Daily Record.

She said: “My three girls are definitely hardy Scots.

“They braved freezing temperatures and bare feet to get stunning pictures in the Perthshire countryside.

“They are thinking out the box at the moment to keep dancing and active in a second lockdown.

“They live for dance and their friends and it’s hit them hard.

“Things like today keep them focused and the love for the arts which is massively struggling .

“The dance teachers have been amazing with zoom and the kids have adapted well.

“Even living in Perthshire my youngest, Ella, has managed to finish second in the world this year for lyrical dance.”

The youngest of the trio, Ella, specialises in lyrical dance - a cross between ballet and gymnastics - and finished second in the world championships last year.

While the eldest, Chloe, is hoping to go into musical theatre as a career.

All three girls know how difficult life has been for the performing arts sector, through the lockdown, and hope their pictures will inspire others.

Susie said the girls ballet teacher, Trisha Monaghan Wicklow, from Crieff, who runs online classes also deserves a pat on the back for all her hard work.

She added: “The performing arts are really struggling, but they are doing their best to keep all the young dancers spirits up.

“As well as Trisha, some of the country’s best stage stars are also holding online tutorials giving the girls a once in a lifetime chance to be taught be their heroes.”
