‘Beautiful‘ – Chelsea fans love what Thomas Tuchel has done for Manchester City clash

Chelsea will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League season today with a win against the current champions, Manchester City, at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are top of the table on goal difference going into the game, three points clear of Pep Guardiola’s side, who currently sit in fifth behind Liverpool, Manchester United and – perhaps surprisingly - fast-starters, Brighton.

Nevertheless, the German is aware of how difficult a match-up with City will be, especially as they will be trying to get revenge for the Champions League final loss in May.

Thomas Tuchel has the better record against Guardiola in England, winning all three games against the Spaniard since he took charge in January.

Chelsea are without one of their key players in Mason Mount after the 22-year-old England star picked up an injury during the midweek Carabao Cup tie against Aston Villa.

He hasn’t recovered in time, meaning Tuchel has had to alter his line-up slightly for today’s clash.

Four changes have been made from last week's win over Tottenham.

Edouard Mendy returns in goal, Reece James comes in at right-wing back, N'Golo Kante has returned following his own fitness concerns.

Meanwhile, Timo Werner partners Romelu Lukaku up front for the first time this season, much to the delight of Chelsea fans.

Take a look at what's been said on Twitter.

Tuchel has undoubtedly been bold in his selection, and Chelsea fans will be hoping their side has enough to get yet another result over City.

The last meeting ended in a famous 1-0 win for the Blues in Porto, when Kai Havertz netted the only goal of the game, while Hakim Ziyech scored the goal when the two sides met in the FA Cup semi-final in April.

Ziyech also scored when Chelsea beat City at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League in May, but he is on the bench for the Blues today.
