A 15-year-old boy who died after a tragic car park fall has been named in poignant tributes to the "beautiful boy".
The teenager, named locally as Gabriel Santer was rushed to hospital after falling from a multi-storey in Liverpool city centre on Saturday night, but sadly he died of his injuries.
Heartbreak and shock spread across the city with friends paying tribute over social media.
One said: "Gabriel I’m heartbroken you’re gone, and am so thankful to have spent time with you, beautiful boy.
"Thank you for bringing so much light and love into my world. My love and thoughts to the Santer family.X"
Another friend posted a video of memories with Gabriel, writing "Rest easy Gabe. We will see you again soon.
"Carry on smiling."
The video said at the end "Gabriel Santer 2005-2020."
Candles, bouquets of flowers, and pictures of Gabe have been left at shrines to the popular young boy on the grounds of Calderstones School and at the Pier Head where he was known to skateboard, the Liverpool Echo reports.
One friend had also drawn a picture of him with the message “I love you, you know” written beside it.
Another picture of the teen had a heartbreaking message typed across it that said “you are loved and are capable of spreading love.”
One heartbreaking tribute said: “RIP Gabe, so sad what’s happened, I can’t believe it.
“You’re gonna be missed by us all, your friends and family.
“[Crazy] knowing I’m not going to see you ever again, you were such a lovely person,
“You always had a smile on your face and never failed to make people laugh, you’ll be gone but never forgotten.”
Another friend added: “Honestly lost for words."
The family are currently being supported by specialist officers.
In a statement after the incident, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm that a 15-year-old boy from Liverpool has died after falling from a car park on Hanover Street in Liverpool City Centre on Saturday, 3 October.
“Emergency services were called to a car park on Hanover Street at 8.25pm following reports that a male had fallen from the car park, but sadly despite their best efforts he was pronounced dead a short time later.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file has been sent to the Coroner.
“Next of kin have been spoken to and specialist officers are supporting the family at this tragic time.
“Formal identification is still to take place.”
