Looking for an exciting job on one of Scotland's most beautiful and remote islands?
Well, a new opportunity has arisen that could be just the role for you.
A cafe on the Hebridean isle of Canna, which lies just off the southern coast of Skye, is looking for "energetic and enthusiastic" general assistant/front of house staff for over the summer.
With it looking increasingly likely that the country will open up to internal travel, the little island, which has a population of fewer than 20 people and is popular with birdwatchers and tourists, is expecting a busy summer season.
Promising “generous tips” and with accommodation provided, the cafe's owners say it is a rare opportunity to join their "fun and friendly community of 18 islanders".
Open six days a week, the vibrant little business sits by the waterside in a beautiful bay.
The only dining establishment on the island, the eatery is known for its excellent seafood dishes and locally foraged ingredients, with the close-knit team stating that they work hard to ensure that every visitor can be served to a high level of service, even during the busiest times.
And a high-level of service may be required for some of the island's unexpected guests; a popular yachting area, royal figures such as Prince Albert II of Monaco are rumoured to have visited there in the past.
The advert, posted on job site Indeed reads: "Come and live and work the summer season on the stunning Hebridean Isle of Canna!
"We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic general assistant/front of house to join us for the 2021 season, from around May to September."
They add that experience is not necessary but that they are looking for someone with a friendly manner and good communication, who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and is willing to get stuck into a wide variety of tasks.
