Beautiful and remote Scottish island looking for someone to run its only restaurant

A remote and beautiful Scottish island is offering someone the chance to escape the rat race with a unique opportunity.

The tiny isle of Ulva, which lies of the west coast of Mull is looking for someone to take over the island's café/restaurant business.

It's an ideal chance for someone to begin a new life in the Inner Hebrides developing a business, supporting tourism and becoming part of a close knit community of just six people.

A small passenger ferry from the larger island brings up to 100 visitors a day to the tiny island every year.

A well established and profitable café/restaurant business has already been operating from the Boathouse premises since 2007, but the current owners have decided not to renew the lease.

The island's website stated that it is perfect for offering a catering opportunity that extends from initial coffee and cake menu to a highly commended fresh, seasonal, and local produce lunch menu along with home baking, teas, and coffees.

Those intrigued by the idea of moving the island - and who have experience running similar premises - can fill in an Expression of Interest Form.

An Information Pack will thereafter be sent out to all parties who have expressed an interest.

The community added that appointments to come and view the Boathouse can be arranged but due to Covid-19 restrictions "pre-booking is essential".

The deadline for submitting an Expression of Interest is Thursday 15th October at 5pm.
